Shopping Status

Jeez, having a baby who needs to nap, only at home, really cuts into your shopping time. I don’t think I’ve stretched my Christmas shopping out so long! I have a few more small gifts to pick up, but I have a feeling it will take a few more trips than it used to.

We got new LED lights that change from white to multicolored. Here's the white lights.

Remy has been a good little shopping buddy. He loves riding around in his Ergo carrier smiling at everyone and trying to nab things off of store shelves. Next year I’ll have to get an earlier start on it, or plan my shopping around Remy’s babysitters’ schedules.

And with the multicolored lights.

And with the multicolored lights.

I had a lot of fun shopping this year because most of my purchases were made at local, small businesses. We’re still relatively new here, so it was a nice opportunity to explore some shops here. What’s your favorite part of Christmas shopping? Being done? :)

About Michelle

I'm Michelle, formerly the annoyed army wife. Join me as transition into the next phase of life:a husband in a white coat and tie instead of ACUs, a home of our own located anywhere we please (that needs a lot of work), and my life as a newish, somewhat crunchy mama. I'm, well, pessimistic about this next phase but with all the sarcasm and sass you've come to know and love.

COMMENTS:

  1. Sounds about right! My shopping has been mostly online since S was born!

  2. I love those lights, I wish they had them over here! I just love shopping for presents in general.

  3. I wish I had done more local shopping. With traveling home to Minnesota, and the majority of gifts joining me there, I had to send them ahead and shopping local just isn’t conducive to that unless I want to spend tons on shipping costs!
