Christmas Book Giveaway

I was recently contacted for a book review, but I thought a book giveaway would be a lot more fun. The book is for children or the child within written by a philanthropist and retired Commanding General in the US Army, Alan Salisbury. The new children’s story is called The Legend of Ranger: The Reindeer Who Couldn’t Fly. All profits from the project will be donated to the Antonia J. Giallourakis Endowed Fund in Art Therapy for Children with Cancer. Philanthropy is of the utmost importance to Alan and his story’s positive message aligns with the fund’s efforts to help children as they face life-threatening diseases.

Beautifully illustrated by award winning Roberta Baird, The Legend of Ranger tells the heartwarming story of Ranger, the younger brother of the famous Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer who dreams of being one of the reindeer who pull Santa’s sleigh. He finds himself on a journey searching for the “secret” within him to fly, leaving readers with the reminder that “all things are attainable when you believe in yourself.” If you want more information please visit http://www.thelegendofranger.com/ where you can watch a trailer for the book.

Do you want to add a book to your Christmas collection? I don’t think it will make it to you before Christmas, BUT it will probably make it to you before you pack up all your Christmas stuff from this year so you can just pack it up and enjoy it next year. :) Plus, I’ll throw in a homemade winter treat for you (it’s not done yet, so no photo). Here’s a hint: Not edible since I’m not super good at baking, and would you really eat something a stranger mails to you?

Enter quick since the giveaway is only open for a brief amount of time since Christmas is right around the corner.

About Michelle

I'm Michelle, formerly the annoyed army wife. Join me as transition into the next phase of life:a husband in a white coat and tie instead of ACUs, a home of our own located anywhere we please (that needs a lot of work), and my life as a newish, somewhat crunchy mama. I'm, well, pessimistic about this next phase but with all the sarcasm and sass you've come to know and love.

  2. My favorite holiday book is “The Little Match Girl” it’s a sad story, but my grandma made us blankets one year to go with the story to make sure we weren’t cold like the little match girl :)

  3. I love Rudolph and Frosty the Snowmen – the old standby classics. Happy Holidays to you and your family, M!

  4. I love the nutcracker and A Soldier’s night before Christmas.
